Selecting a builder is the most important step in the building process! You are making a massive financial & emotional commitment so you need to be able to trust your builder 100%.
Again you need to do your research & homework. Look around and sit down with more than one builder, are you comfortable enough to ask them questions? Are they forthcoming with information and honest?
Reputation – is everything, speak to past & present clients about their experiences, the finishes & quality of their home.
Quality of work – Does the builder have a display home you can visit or can they show you through a recently completed project? Part of your research should be looking at their quality or work and finishes in person.
Inclusions – are a MASSIVE difference from builder to builder, when getting quotes make sure to get full comprehensive quotes which list out EXACTLY what is included with your price, you really need to make sure your comparing apples with apples when it comes to pricing.
Price – so many people shop solely on price which is totally up to the individual but we feel that price shouldn’t be your sole factor to selecting a builder, cheapest isn’t always best & more often than not you get what you pay for.
